The Wayward Twenty

The Story

Every Wayward Milne title has twenty individually signed copies released into the world.

Before their journeys begin, each receives a unique handwritten message, signature and authentication code.

Every title also has an Archive Copy, known simply as Zero.

Zero never travels.

It remains permanently in the Wayward Milne Archive as the permanent reference copy for that title.

The remaining twenty copies begin their own journeys.

Some are gifted.

Some are posted.

Some are left somewhere to be discovered.

Wherever they begin, their journeys continue through the guardians who find them.

A guardian may keep the book for as long as they wish before passing it directly to someone else or releasing it somewhere new.

Every authenticated sighting becomes another chapter in that copy's story.

If you become one of its guardians, you are invited to report where the journey found you—and, when the time comes, where it continued.

Names are optional.

Stories are optional.

Photographs are welcome.

Anonymous guardians are just as important as named ones.

The book belongs to its guardian today.

Its journey belongs to everyone who helps it travel.
